Raises for Nursing
The Classic Upholstered bed can be raised to a high nursing height of 80cm. This provides an encompassing height range suitable for all heights of carer, effectively reducing the risk of back strain.
Profiling Mattress
The Opera® Classic Upholstered's profiling mattress platform allows the user to adjust the backrest and knee-break of the base to sit up in bed and elevate their knees or feet. This ensures comfort and improves circulation.
Trendelenburg/Tilt
The bed has a Trendelenburg function which means the whole bed can be adjusted to tilt both forwards and backwards. This is beneficial for users with respiratory conditions and also improves blood flow.
Easy-to-Use Handset
A straightforward, easy-to-operate handset is used to control the Opera® Classic Upholstered bed. The handset has a locking feature that enables the operator to disable all or just Trendelenburg functions where there are safety concerns with the user.
8” Mattress Capacity
The bed accommodates mattresses of up to 8" in depth whilst remaining fully compliant with bed rail regulations. This eliminates the need for extension height side rails and additional risk assessments should the user require a deep alternating air mattress.
Upholstered Design
The Classic Upholstered features a fabic insert headboard, available in a range of colours and materials. The frame of the bed is also available in three wood colours from stock.
Specification & Details for the Opera® Classic Upholstered Profiling Bed
All our mattresses are sold separately due to each person having different pressure care needs and preferred firmness.
The Opera® Classic Upholstered Profiling Bed does have side rails. When not in use, the side rails drop down out of the way and act as a wooden side to the bed.
In the event of a power cut, the Opera® profiling beds have a 29v battery back-up which has enough power to get the bed back into a flat position.
If a handle or loop is needed at the side of the bed to assist with getting in and out then we can supply the bed with a grab rail which can fit on either side of the bed in the desired position.
The wooden side rails can only be operated by somebody outside of the bed, they can either be left in the drop down position to the side of the bed or in the raised position to prevent someone from falling out of bed.
In the event of your electric bed breaking down, call 0333 222 8584 and speak with our in-house product support team who will go through the issue with you and try to troubleshoot over the phone. If the issue requires an engineer visit then this can be arranged within 24-48 hours.
The Opera® beds are covered by a 3 Year warranty. If you would like to have your bed serviced on an annual basis then we can arrange for an engineer to come out and service your bed. For more information please call 0333 222 8584.

Your bed will be delivered and installed in your home by a 2-man crew within 3-6 working days of purchasing. You will be given a delivery date when you order and will receive a call from the installation crew 1 hour before delivery.
Old Bed and Mattress Removal

PURCHASE WITH INSTALLATION
The 2-man installation crew will dismantle and remove your old bed and mattress before installing your new bed. The old items will be taken away and either sustainably disposed or donated to charity depending on condition.
