Every Opera hospital bed has an adjustable back rest that goes from flat to an 80 degree near-upright position. This enables you to sit up comfortably and properly supported in bed for reading, watching TV or just generally relaxing. The elevated backrest is kinder to your back and means no more propping yourself up with pillows!

An Opera bed's height range is one of the most extensive available and allows users and caregivers to achieve the following positions:

• Nursing Height: Bed raises right up to a caregivers waist level to enable on-bed nursing whilst minimizing the risk of back strain.
• Access Height: Set the bed at the perfect level for getting on and off. Accessing the bed is made much easier by sitting down at a higher height and then lowering the bed to help swing legs into bed.
• Safe Floor Height: The Opera Solo bed has a floor height setting that provides a safe sleeping height. Falls form the bed become more of a roll, helping to reduce injury.

All Opera medical beds have an adjustable leg rest that allow you to raise your lower legs and feet above the rest of your body. Not only is this position comforting and pressure relieving, it can also help to improve circulation and is recommended by professionals for reducing leg swelling and helping ease conditions such as Edema.
