The Solo is designed to accommodate users who are vulnerable and at risk of falls from the bed. The ultra-low floor height provides a safer sleeping height, and rather than a direct fall from the bed, it provides a roll-type motion. People with medical conditions such as Dementia and Alzheimer’s can benefit from the Solo as it is safe and doesn’t require side rails to keep a person in bed.
All our profiling care beds have height adjustment which makes it easier for people who struggle to get on and off the height of a normal bed.
If a handle or loop is needed at the side of the bed to assist with getting in and out then we can supply the bed with a grab rail which can fit on either side of the bed in the desired position.
The wooden side rails can only be operated by somebody outside of the bed, they can either be left in the drop down position to the side of the bed or in the raised position to prevent someone from falling out of bed.
In the event of your electric bed breaking down, call +1 888 599 2251 and speak with our in-house product support team who will go through the issue with you and try to troubleshoot over the phone. If the issue requires an engineer visit then this can be arranged within 24-48 hours.
All our hospital and adjustable beds are covered by a 3-year warranty which includes 3 years parts and 1-year labour cover. We offer two upgrade plans (read more) if you would like to buy additional cover for your Opera bed.
The Opera Solo Bed is available with or without side rails. As the bed lowers to a floor level height, some users do not require the side rails as it is more of a roll out of bed rather than a fall. When not in use, the side rails drop down out of the way and act as a wooden side to the bed.
The Opera® Solo Bed is not available in a full width. The reason for this is if the user requires on bed nursing by carers outside of the bed, this width would put a strain on the carers backs having to reach over.
