What is the best bed for acid reflux?

Also known as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), acid reflux is a condition that means stomach acid flows into the throat, causing heartburn.

To reduce the risk of acid entering the oesophagus, it can be useful to sleep sitting up or at a gentle incline. To do this comfortably, choose from any of our adjustable hospital beds.

Our range includes electric profiling beds and zero gravity beds that elevate the upper body and to reduce symptoms of GERD and promote a better night’s sleep.

Can a particular mattress help reduce acid reflux symptoms?

No specific mattress will help reduce the symptoms of heartburn or acid reflux; however, using a hospital bed with a fully compatible adjustable bed mattress will help you make full use of the bed’s functions, which can reduce symptoms.

Adjustable bed mattresses are specially designed to adjust at the head and feet, contouring with the bed, and helping you get a better sleep and some respite from acid reflux or chronic pain.

Can I test the bed to see if it helps my joint pain or condition?

Yes! All Opera Beds come with a 10-night trial, you need to purchase our mattress protector to qualify. If the bed doesn’t improve your comfort or meet your needs, we’ll arrange a return and refund.
