Orders
How quickly can I get my item?
All orders of stocked goods are delivered next day by standard if you choose to have doorstep or kerbside courier delivery. For larger items such as beds or chairs that you wish to have installed by our engineers, we can service the majority of UK areas within 10 working days of ordering.
How do I know if my item is in stock?
All beds and chairs have a delivery checker on each product page for you to check stock. Simply put in your postcode to see how quickly you can have your item delivered.
Thanks to extensive UK stock holdings, we are able to stock most products in the Opera® range. For products where there are multiple configurations such as upholstery colours, please call our customer care team on 0333 222 8584 to check availability.
Can I buy products for my own home?
Yes, Opera work with both care homes and private buyers living in their own homes. Click to view our hospital beds and pressure care mattresses. If you need any help at all, please call 0333 222 8584 and we'll be more than happy to help.
How do I place an order with you?
You can place your order online, over the phone or by email.
How do I get VAT relief on a product?
To purchase an item VAT free, you must be purchasing the item for personal use (not for care home or business use) and you must be either registered disabled or have a named medical condition (e.g. Alzheimer's, Parkinson's). You pay without VAT and fill out a qualifying form to prove your eligibility.

Delivery
Do you deliver/install on a weekend?
We can arrange doorstep/kerbside courier deliveries for a Saturday, however engineer installations are only avaliable on weekdays (Monday to Friday).
When's the quickest I can get a bed?
We have large stock holdings of our beds, for all stocked items our next-day courier pallet delivery is the quickest option. This is where the bed is delivered as close to the property and you will be responsible for bringing the bed inside and assembling it. For next-day deliveries, orders need to be placed by 3pm and be in a mainland UK postcode. If you live in Scotland, Northern Ireland, remote and offshore we advise getting in touch as it may be longer
Products
Can I return a product if it isn't suitable?
Yes you can. If you find the product isn't suitable after it has been delivered, please contact our customer care team within 14 days of receipt of the goods. Providing it is unused and in its original packaging, the item will be collected and you will recieve a full refund.
Can I hire a bed from you?
We do not provide hire services for any of our profiling care beds or mattresses. However, you can find more information on how to hire a profiling bed...
Do you buy back beds when they are no longer needed?
We no longer provide a buy back scheme. However to assist with the removal of your bed, you could sell or donate your bed to another company or individual that would be willing to collect it from you. We are always looking to support our customers, so if you need more advice on how to go about selling or donating your bed, please call our team on 0333 222 8584.
How can I see or try out your products?
We have an equipment showroom in Hull, East Yorkshire that is open for appointments Monday to Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm. Call us on 0333 222 8584 to book your appointment. If this is not practical, you can now book a Virtual Showroom Visit, where an advisor can show you products via video call. We also offer a 10-day trial period in your home that allows you to check the suitability of a product.
Do you manufacture your own beds, mattresses and chairs?
Opera Beds is the manufacturer of all Opera® products. Components and initial manufacturing is done in global locations including Europe, Eastern Asia and the British Isles. Assembly before dispatch is all carried out at our main UK site in East Yorkshire.
How do I find out more about a product?

Returns
Do you offer a buy back scheme?
No, we do not offer a specific buy back scheme when returning a bed out of our 14 Day Consumer Returns Policy or 10 Day Home Trial.
However, there are a few options when you no longer need your Opera Bed:
- Privately List Your Bed for Sale: Places like Gumtree, Facebook Marketplace, Ebay and hospitalmart.co.uk are great places for selling your used bed.
- Contact Your Local Care Home or Mobility Retailer: Some care facilities and equipment retailers may purchase second hand profiling beds or accept donations.
- Donate Your Bed to a Charity: If you do not wish to sell your bed, you could consider donating it to a charity or Care Home. Some offer collection for free, such as the British Heart Foundation.
14 Day Consumer Returns Policy
As part of the 14 Day Consumer Returns Policy, you can return your items under the following criteria:
- Goods must be new and in original packaging
- Installed products are not included in this returns policy
- Custom products are not included in this returns policy and cannot be returned or trialled
You may be able to return goods that are:
- Out the 14 day period, but still new and in original packaging
- Unpackaged products
However, this is at the advisors discretion and subject to a 20% restocking charge.

How does the 10 Day Home Trial work?
All of our beds and mattresses are included in the 10 Day Home Trial and if they aren't suitable for you within the trial period, you can exchange them or receive a refund.
10 Day Home Trial - Terms and Conditions:
- The 10 Day Home Trial begins once products are delivered or installed
- Mattresses must be purchased with a mattress protector for the trial to be valid
- A handling fee will be applied if returning items (£185 for a bed and mattress, £60 for mattress only)
- Goods must be returned in excellent condition and will be inspected upon receipt
