Supporting the NHS During the Pandemic
During the global COVID-19 pandemic, several Nightingale Hospitals were rapidly established to accommodate the surge in patient admissions. One of these was the Dragon’s Heart Hospital, located within the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales. Officially named by the Prince of Wales at the time, this temporary facility was initially set up with 300 beds in just two weeks, thanks to the combined efforts of military personnel, NHS staff, and contractors.
The hospital’s capacity was later expanded to approximately 2,000 beds, with equipment sourced from across the UK.
We are proud to have supplied the NHS with our Classic and Signature Profiling Beds for this important project, supporting both healthcare workers and patients affected by the virus.
